What is Eosinophilia?

When there is increase in number of eosinophil count in blood is known as Eosinophilia. They are white blood cells which are responsible in overcoming  infections related to some parasites thus also control various allergic responses or allergies like asthma and other skin related allergies. These eosinophils are first made up from bone marrow before entering into the blood. Due to increase in eosinophils inflammation develops in airways which causes breathlessness, continuous coughing and profuse blockage in lungs.

Causes or Reasons of Eosinophilia

It is very difficult to find out the cause of increase in eosinophils count in children due to various number of causes which might be responsible for it .Some of the reasons that are described below :-

  • Hyper responsiveness reactions in tissues due to administration of drugs
  • Due to malignancy somewhere
  • Tissue invasion through parasites
  • Food allergy

Diet: There are 8 food items which are the reasons in causing allergies:-

Milk allergy diet It has been seen that estimate of around 1-2 percent of young children are suffering from milk allergy. So, it is advised to stop milk or their products if a person is unable to digest it. Dairy products are rich source of calcium along with Vitamin D, so it’s important that to use a substitute of this diary products that covers all the required nutrients for the body such as broccoli, spinach and soy products. The examples of milk products and food that contains milk are:-

  • Milk and products of milk related solids.
  • Without fat, skim milk or powdered milk and along with milk related solids
  • Buttermilk
  • milk which is evaporated
  • Yogurt
  • Cream, cream cheese, sour cream
  • Cheese, powdered cheese or cheese sauce
  • Butter, fat butter, artificial butter flavor
  • Curd
  • Cottage cheese

Egg allergy diet Egg allergies are mostly seen in infants or small children, young children and adults. An egg-free diet means without eggs and other products which contains eggs

  • Egg in the form of some solids

Peanut allergy diet its allergies are seen in 0.6 percentage of people. Peanuts are very commonly found food allergens as they are substances that trigger an allergic reaction. Peanut allergies also are one of the most dangerous and life threatening food allergies.

Natural Home Remedies for eosinophilia

  • Ginger it is very good herb in lowering down the increase count of eosinophils. It is taken by preparing its juice   by mashing it properly and put this in a tea drink this tea one to two times daily for few days which gives better results.
  • Turmeric powder it is very good remedy to treat patients who have higher values of eosinophils. It is prepared by putting a pinch of turmeric powder in one glass of water and makes it boil and drink.
  • Ginseng it is very good home remedy in reducing the inflammation in airways and thus lowers down the count of high eosinophils.
  • Eucalyptus its oil is used in reducing the various symptoms in eosinophilia.
  • Fenugreek Its seeds are used in combating the infections that are related to increase eosinophilia. The seeds of fenugreek are boiled in one glass of water the two tablespoon of seeds are added in a glass of water drink this mixture every day morning and evening.
  • Holy Basil (Tulsi leaves) it is very effective home remedy known for treating higher eosinophilic count. The chewing of two to three leaves are recommended for better results.
  • Malabar Nut It is very useful home remedy in reducing the symptoms of eosinophilia. Drink its juice daily for better results.
  • Neem (Azadirachta indica) It is used as medicine since many years it has a properties of anti-bacterial, antifungal, antiviral, sedative, anti-diabetic so it is useful for various purposes it helps in removing unwanted harmful toxins from the body. Thus it is helpful in controlling various types of allergies related to food, in skin like eczema, psoriasis etc.
